1. Who we are
Perim is a spending-control app and a trading name of NEIGHBORHOODCONNECT LTD, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 17051993), registered office 128 City Road, London EC1V 2NX. The current account and card are provided by Griffin Bank Ltd. When you open an account you also agree to Griffin's account terms. See Regulation & FSCS for the regulatory detail.
2. Who can use Perim
- You must be 18 or over and a UK resident.
- You must pass identity and anti-money-laundering checks.
- You may hold one personal account unless we agree otherwise.
3. How limits work
Perim's core feature is limits you set on yourself. By design:
- You set monthly limits on categories or merchants, and can block a category entirely.
- When a payment would take you over a limit, we decline it in real time.
- Limits are a once-a-month decision. Once live, they can't be changed, up or down, until they reset the following month.
- Transfers to accounts in your own name elsewhere are subject to a 24-hour cool-off. Bills and payments to other people are not affected.
- Money you don't spend can be swept into a savings pot.
These frictions are the product. We will not remove or override them on request, because that would defeat the purpose you signed up for.
4. Fees
Our pricing is shown in the app before you sign up and any time it changes, and summarised on our fees page. We'll give you clear notice of any changes to fees.
5. Keeping your account secure
- Keep your passcode, device and card details private.
- Tell us immediately if your card or device is lost or stolen, or you notice anything you don't recognise.
- We may freeze the account or a card if we reasonably suspect fraud or a breach of these terms.
6. Closing your account
You can close your account at any time once any pending payments have cleared. We may close or suspend it by giving you at least two months' notice, or immediately in limited cases such as suspected fraud, unlawful use, or a legal or regulatory requirement.
7. Our responsibility to you
We'll provide the service with reasonable care and skill. We're not liable for losses we couldn't reasonably foresee, or that are caused by events outside our control. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law, including for fraud.
8. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We'll give you advance notice of material changes and, where required, the right to close your account before they take effect.
9. Complaints and law
If you're unhappy, see our complaints page. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have non-exclusive jurisdiction.
