Who is responsible for your data
NEIGHBORHOODCONNECT LTD (trading as Perim), company number 17051993, registered office 128 City Road, London EC1V 2NX, is the data controller for the Perim app. Griffin Bank Ltd is the controller for the banking account it provides. We share only what's needed to run your account.
What we collect
- Identity — name, date of birth, address, and ID documents, to meet legal "know your customer" rules.
- Account & transactions — balances, payments, merchants and categories, so we can apply your limits.
- Limits you set — the caps, blocks and savings rules you choose.
- Device & usage — app version, device type and basic analytics to keep the app working and secure.
- Support — messages you send us.
Why we use it
- To open and run your account and process payments (to perform our contract with you).
- To decline payments that breach the limits you've set (the core service you asked for).
- To prevent fraud and financial crime and to meet our legal and regulatory duties.
- To improve the app and provide support (our legitimate interests).
- To send you service messages. Marketing only ever with your consent, which you can withdraw any time.
Who we share it with
- Griffin Bank Ltd, which provides the account and card.
- Payment networks and card processors needed to move money.
- Identity, fraud-prevention and compliance providers.
- Regulators, law enforcement or courts where we're legally required to.
We never sell your personal data.
How long we keep it
We keep your data for as long as you're a customer and then for as long as the law requires, typically at least five years after your account closes for anti-money-laundering purposes.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask to access, correct, delete or port your data, or object to certain uses. To exercise any of these, contact privacy@perim.money.
If you're unhappy with how we handle your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), though we'd like the chance to put it right first.
